Whether you are starting or expanding an existing business, seeking employment or advancing a career, the Syosset Library can be a place to start. The Business & Career area is located on the 3rd Floor of the library and contains an expansive collection of databases, reference sources, magazines, and books that will help to meet your needs and answer your questions.

Databases

The library offers databases that can assist with business or career advancement. The business databases contain company information including contact & products, legal information, as well as general business articles.

 

The career databases offer resume writing templates, resume review and assistance, company contact information, and general information on various careers.

 

LinkedInLearning.com courses are available 24/7 online on your computer, tablet or smartphone at home or in the library.

Magazines & Newspapers

The library offers both printed magazines and newspapers as well as online resources.  You can access the library's digital collection through Nassau Digital Doorway Magazines. They are available 24/7 on your computer, tablet or mobile device.

Books

There are over 1,000 print and ebooks available covering business and career needs. The career books cover the spectrum of resume writing, interviewing, online job searching or test preparation. The business books include starting, running or expanding a business, legal or financial needs of a business.
